Sure-I like wearing bright patterns and prints that add inches to my hips said no woman EVER
-or man for that matter... which is why no matter how performing, well fitting, comfortable and a good value -bike wear is-it will not sell-at least where we live-if its not flattering physiques.
Which is why practically all the women and men at our gym are in black or dark bottoms-for gals -that means fitted silhouette enhancing bottoms-mostly capris, leggings--with a few iconic Adidas side striped track pants, pricey Lucas Hugh, and-rarely- baggyish gym shorts in the mix.
For guys-that almost 99% of the time means a looser fit than the ladies- usually for track style kind of pants unless they came back from outdoor running where the fit-is fitted, and biggish long shorts -straight outta basketball 101.
We thought about that when previewing the very technical bike kits form Cannondale- hitting retail shelves for Spring 2015. While aimed at the more serious biker…given the costs---the emphasis on looking good while aerodynamically cycling- was very important…and in fact-the SI System Integration with snaps that attach (practically weightless) jersey+bibs- synch up color wise-with the brand's top tier 2015 road bikes.
