J. Lindeberg impressed a lot of New York Fashion Week attendees at last week's presentation of well tailed, modern separates/accessories.

pumpkin and black-leather, silk and wool separates -investment pieces |
The Stockholm based lifestyle brand has a store down on Spring Street in SOHO...but
was an unknown for a lot of fashion types that we know...but the winning combinations of bold and neutral colors, mixed textures in traditional winter fabrics rendered lightweight here... ...and several versatile outerwear items-a vest, trench, etc...for cooler climes...made a favorable impression!
men's pants cuffed hitting right above the ankle for the most part-but we think American men will want them tad lower----with shortened blazers and motor inspired jackets that hit at the hip bone--- |
Well tailored, polished and on trend...we think urban Americans would love the ensembles we saw-sophisticated enough for work...straight from the office or an art gallery, wherever one toils---to a night out on the town.
summery white in a wrapped sleeveless dress with a slight drop waist/pretty pleats... |
The silhouettes played with dimensions---but the overall cut was linear, body conscious - not revealing ---but flattering. Nice mi-up of casual pieces with more 'fancy' items...i.e, a slim fitted puffer vest under a blazer that's at ease with faded jeans or office type trousers. This is the way we all dress now, anyway...no matchy-matchy, per se.

This black dress got major applause -shiny/matte taffeta silk mix with a wide leather belt= perfection! |
flat front trousers-fitted-look great on the slim types-with matching suit worthy jacket---over casual tops or buttoned up with a L/S and tie...equally handsome looking |
tailored white shorts suit-under that camel beige leather vest- |
J. Lindeberg also has an extensive accessories collection including shoes, man-bags, purses....
gals all wore cropped sox with their shoes... |
suede slip-ons-year-round footwear option...for Spring-sockless |
Nicks Ericsson...Marketing and PR guy---looks great here-pulled together in separates that can work with a lot of different items that guys already own ---dark denim, navy double breasted blazer, grey suede lace-ups...modern classics |
BONUS POINTS: the frame worthy b/w print attendees got-an image from the Book...
