HIGHLIGHTS of the Fall 2012 are numerous---what stood out for us= re-interpretations/re-fresh color/ profiles- of some of Frye's best selling styles-the Campus/Carson boots/shoes, Engineer, Dorado, James---and tweaking them-using a different heel, adding tall -or shorter versions...and different treatments/finishes of the leather---hand washed, distressed, mixed materials---etc.

AND---polished, wearable takes on themes---studs, motocross, equestrian, Western, driver shoes, lifestyle sneakers, and of course for Fall/Winter...hiker/worker sturdy lace-ups with lug soles, autumnal hues for ballet flats, lined boots/mocs for warmth, and classic oxfords and demure pumps for the office.

Deep burnished tone and distressed finishings, quality hardware details (buckles, studs) and sumptuous leathers -materials we see in higher priced European brands and of course, unique to Frye ...plus a lot of hand finished details-with some kickers made in the USA---imo-has the company morphing into an affordable luxury brand...a step above "contemporary" in terms of product quality...though in many instances, value priced.
