 The Standard Hotel, NYC

words/images from event Judith Ecochard

The “IT” Meatpacking District Standard Hotel is an ideal venue for vendors pitching their wares for media inclusion in Holiday gift guides.

But hey, why wait...these items are available now.

Arriving late, we only had time to see a few exhibitors…what grabbed our eyeballs straight off was the Cynthia Rowley legwear---that we remember from the designer’s terrific RTW show.

A pretty floral print tights and cool sequins socks to wear with pumps/sandals (like back in the 80’s) are available now.

The same United Legwear Company also makes  for the trendy label True Religion and athletic socks for Puma.

Next we livened up ourselves meeting with an engaging, “STIR IT UP” meet with Rohan Marley. His (and pal- Shane Whittle) serve up excellent premium coffees --- worthy of any coffee snob’s mug.

In the spirit of the former’s dad, musician Bob Marley, all the MARLEY COFFEE  is all sustainably grown, USDA Certified Organic, Fair Trade Certified…and the offerings include the rich, full-bodied Jamaican Blue Mountain beans from the Marley Estate. YUMMY.

ADDED PLUS: Marley Coffee is also ITAL---“beyond organic” meaning shade grown on bio-diverse land with rigorous organic standards.

With the tagline “A Kiss That Lasts Forever™” the American chocolate giant Hershey’s licensed it’s iconic aluminum foil wrapped nibble …resulting in adorable silver, gold, diamond pave etc. charms on bracelets, earrings and necklaces. A nice way to express a sentiment…and a perfect send-off gift for college bound freshmen, anniversaries, birthdays---

From $49.99 (Small Sterling Silver Pendant) – to $2495 for am XL 14KT White Gold Diamond Flat Pendant.

Our friend the dog fanatic will splurge on anything for her prized canine…and we are sure the glam LazyBonezz™ Furniture For Pets, made from solid woodm stainless steel and plush textiles--- will make her list.

The sleek double decker “The Metropolitan” with snazzy fabric options, will fit right into to the finest tricked out homes ($499).
