The presentation at MAC & MILK Studios was stunning...with models posed in vintage fifties style dresses...bedecked with large ornamental pieces of jewelry that reminded us of the late heiress Millicent Rogers---a famous glam collector Native American jewelry- and designer of baubles too. The run-of-show had the models names---and what they were wearing. For example, Caitlin-a Gold Long Quill Necklace, Gold Buffalo Nickel Necklace, Double Black Pipe & Deco Long Necklace, Victorian Gold Watch... After her jam packed salon opening where the outside elements could NOT keep the fabulous and famous away ---we got a chance to have the immensely talented and warmly professional Amoy Pitters to ourselves ---for a talk at her aerie, spotless salon ensconced on Lexington Avenue---(Right near Bloomies too). Right off we had to ask Ms.Pitters--- what’s the first thing she notices about a person: “The hair, always,” she declared with a laugh. No surprise there.
