BLANCPAIN CELEBRATES FIFTY FATHOMS WATCH

BLANCPAIN’S FIFTY FATHOMS EXHIBIT 781 Madison Avenue. NYC Opening Reception ---J. Ecochard--- Even the Big Apple’s slushy streets couldn’t deter a rather well-dressed crowd from turning out for the opening reception celebrating Blancpain’s collection of acclaimed Fifty Fathoms Watches. This luxury brand--- that painstakingly crafts some of the most highly esteemed timepieces in the world---honored one of the original French military divers, Captain “Bob” Maloubier  ---who helped create the Les Nageurs de Combat diving unit for the French military---in 1952. And so he required a battle tough watch that could withstand underwater challenges endured under the most trying circumstances. Blancpain engineers and watchmakers accordingly complied- coming up with the original Fifty Fathoms (at a water resistant depth of 91.45 meters, FYI---the depth that divers could safely descend to-at that time- breathing compressed air)... MIZ MOOZ 2011 FOOTWEAR-FOR STYLISH GALS WHO CAN THROW A STRIKE...

OR ASPIRE TO...   BOWLMOR LANES , WEST 44ST, NYC How fun was this. We loved learning about the trend-on, adorable cool girl- playful footwear line ....... MIZ MOOZ  while playing--- ...at the glam, night club worthy Bowlmor Lanes---right near Times Square. Though we probably embarrassed ourselves in the "Strike" competition (despite taking bowling as a phys-ed credit in college(!!!) )...we looked just fine, shoe-wise--- in an updated,  and comfy take on the retro saddle shoe that attendees were given. Here---a picture with and without heels--- very Janelle Monáe ---the terrific singer/songwriter with an eccentric fun style---just like this brand. Besides bowling which we LOVED--- we also took in the display of shoes for summery temps and for when the mercury dips...all made solidly of quality materials... ...with vintage ankle strap, Mary Jane styles in cute color combos... ... that ranged from adorable to the functional---included kickers w...
