NAUTICA MEN'S FALL 2011 COLLECTION

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Lincoln Center Words/Images Judith Ecochard No surprises here---a packed presentation full of well made, separates--- with all-American polish ... ---on clean cut guys with the confident ease being the coolest dudes in the room. The assorted models, posed on docks---were clearly the best dressed... The Run-Of-Show stated the inspiration: "...the Maritime Heritage of the Sleeping Bear Dunes region of Lake Michigan, part of America's Great Lakes region. From the deep blue waters that wash up against high, neutral sand dunes, to the pops of safety orange that honor our Coast Guard." Staged in color groups we began at the back....the navy/black/charcoal section. On right-Grey Wool Tweed Coat/Safety Orange Canvas Button Up Jacket/Grey Wool Dress Pant -Layered looks with some bright colors for pulled together ensemble Black Waxed Cotton Utility Jacket/over Charcoal Wool Two Button Suit, Black Performance

OUIDAD CURLS/STILA MAKE-UP ON THE CATWALK FOR REBECCA MINKOFF FALL 2011

Ouidad ...were just some of the tossed out words from the original Queen of Curls---Ouidad. A season-less look, begins with dry hair was sprayed (foamed) using  PlayCurl Volumizing Foam   --- and then soothed/smoothed with Climate Control Fingers running through hair to lightly loosen the barrel iron curled hair...into siren worthy sophisticated waves---an easy four step process.  A look we were told would take maybe five to fifteen minutes "TOPS.". But is also a collection that shows at more fashion-y accessories trade shows here in the Big Apple too. As its affordable and stylish bags easily fit many lifestyles. New for Fall 2011 is the versatile, durable nylon cross-body Weekender belonging to the lightweight Ameilia collection...in new colors like eggplant, navy blue and olive. We like the functional slot to attach to  luggage upright handles...smart. The Annie Convertible backpack/tote ($54) is a quilted sporty/ grown-up take on a choice design with a handy organizer panel beneath the front flap. Hobos are
