The faithful waited in the freezing cold---or at the jammed bar, for Tim Hamilton's men's and women's presentation...
Then jammed into the too small space for look-sees...
But we thought that kinda gave it all a sizzling hot club atmosphere...very appropriate for this modern collection----
...so too the three rotating line-ups of street kid model types wearing these separates---that filled the clothes well.
Huxley: Dystopia---that cyber Korean futuristic doomsday videogame-itself based on someone's vision of Aldous Huxley's BRAVE NEW WORLD...served as the inspiration. OK not cheery...
BUT: Some of our favorite looks were the uplifting bright nature/floral prints---a textile resulting from a collab with artist Ross Bleckner.
Motor leather jackets and coats, smart blazers, leggings, oversized and cropped knits---lots of easy edgy layered pieces...
Dropped crotch pants just never sell well on this side of the Pond..we think it requires the skinny and young to pull this off...without Hammer time.
But the grown-up basics here...are really done well...of quality fabrics too---these are relaxed tailored/precisely made pieces...and in person, we think think it will be obvious why this collection gets sold in hip boutiques and more mainstream stores like Bergdorf Goodman...versus cheaper labels with somewhat similar silhouettes...
