Nomadic tribes-and Tibetan culture-inspired Bibhu Mohapatra's A/W 2014 collection.   Amit Abraham -lead stylist---advises his team The hair styles-designed by lead artist Amit Abraham and his team from L'Oréal Professionnel ---impressively took the rich cultural Tibetan Buddhism symbol of the endless (eternal) knot---and crafted the models long locks (extensions used if needed)…into- ... VERY elaborate back buns composed of twists and turns.  Straight locks were prepped with L’Oréal Professionnel Volumetry Root Spray to add density before blow-drying hair straight. Then hair was combed back---with a kind of triangular/trapezoid shaped-back side parts…delineating the plains of the head. Hair was gathered into three ponytails---using a lot of L’Oréal Professionnel Infinium 3 Hairspray for shine and L’Oréal Professionnel True Grip  a texturizing powder, for hold. The low ponytails hit just above...

125 Fifth Avenue @20th Street-NYC A welcoming clean, industrial design- with warm wood soft edges (aka- relaxed luxury)-the latest full service, haircare salon in the Warren-Tricomi franchise delivers high end hair/brow services in a neighborhood that is both a bubbling residential, office and after-hours destination. Located on the edge of Chelsea---in  the Flatiron district (in homage to the distinct architecture of this increasingly hip 'hood)-this second floor, head to toe beauty emporium-(  Skinney  MedSpa shares the loft like space)- caters to the needs- and hours - of those humans in the area-who, like us…are great admirers of the distinctive dry cutting techniques of Ed Tricomi…and hair color expertise of partner Joel Warren. In fact, we still dream about our best haircut ever …which we got a few years back at the glam Warren-Tricomi- Plaza Hotel locale- one of eight W-T salons- that's been open for several years now. So-although we are fairly phobic...

Barshnikov Center , West 37th Street, NYC + Milk Made @ Standard Hotel, NYC Dubbed "Twisted Elegance"---the Ed Tricomi hair creation= nicely complimented the polished looks of Douglas Hannant's S/S 2014 collection.  The sleek straight locks-blow-dryed to perfection with a flat brush-  using a dime size amount of the workhorse Mythic Oil- LOVE Mythic Oil (far left)----we douse our hair with the light liquid before a pool swim-swimcap covering it all up of course. Also a creamy milk version available-pictured on right. With the front part (from middle of the eyebrows)  smoothly pulled back and secured with a clear rubber band... the entire head then got lightly sprayed with   L'Oréal Professionnel Infinium 2 hairspray.  Next- small piece of hair from under the rubber band was twisted around and down the ponytail a few times...and invisibly secured with a bobby pin-pushed upward...
