PART ONE Part Two-Halo Laser Treatment -Review In office skin preparation  included a  thorough  cleaning (alcohol/gauze) administered by a friendly staff gal-and then a half hour hanging out with our face rather thickly covered with a topical numbing cream made of Lidocaine/Tetracaine-a white pasty compound made for Dr. Schwartz. We also took one Advil and one Tylenol though other patents opt for drowse inducing Valium or Percocet to ward off anrticipated pain. The actual treatment is done while lying prone in a comfy room equipped with the Scion laser machine (looks like a space worthy command console)-with a robotic arm ending in a handpiece/tip where the laser emerges. Our face was measured 2 x-by the  Scion  apparatus and Dr. Schwartz's ruler...with the data relayed to the HALO's built in tracking software. A Review NYC Why?: Seeing is believing.  Another attendee at a blogger/editor beauty event with glow-y-refreshed facial skin  sans  makeup -courtesy of a week old- HALO Laser treatment... visually convinced us  to give it a try... What: HALO by  Sciton  uniquely combines 2  fractional laser wavelengths in one-'aimed' at ridding targeted areas (face, décolleté) of "superficial aging" brown sun spots, reducing pore size, improving overall skin tone and smoothing out fine line wrinkles ...with-bonus-the ability to adjust the type of treatment depending on goals and number of treatments  and  recovery time desired. July 20, 2012 Conrad Hotel, NYC For a few hours, we listened to an expert group of practicing physicians weigh in on various topics related to aesthetic medicine, anti-aging, lipo-facial rejuvenation (fat transfers) and the changing perception of what an aging face, revitalized, should (and should not)- look like...during a morning session of the Aesthetic Plastic Surgry/Anti-Aging Medicine Conference. First for us- was listening to James Carraway, MD - Director, Aesthetic Skin Care Center in Virginia Beach,  VA. His remarks concerned the importance-i.e. dangers and benefits ---of hormone replacement therapies, good nutrition, a healthy lifestyle that includes exercise- and vitamin regimens -in keeping his middle aged patients (51-71) looking years younger-in addition to surgical and non-invasive procedures. Next up was NY based Neil Sadick, MD  of Sadick Dermatology...who gave an informative (and fast talking-there were time limits, after all)---talk on the next gener...
