SALON, Lincoln Center-NYC As soon as we spotted the fashion icon Bethann Hardison and style-tv personality smart guy Robert Verdi slipping in as the lights went down for the runway show of South African native David Tlale -we knew to expect a terrific collection on the catwalk ---and bonus points for a great soundtrack-whoever did the music. from the back-just as wonderful..with details details detail Sharp tailoring, and wonderful feminine silhouettes (for the most part-there were a few men's ensembles)… front-one of our favs-asymetrical draped silk blouse paired with pencil skirt w/ draped pockets-finished with black stockings and pumps-flawless ... from polished daywear- skirts, slouchy trousers and cigarette pants, cropped wool jackets, draped blouses reminded us of YSL-70's- to glamorous evening wear…all in beautiful crepe and silk fabrics-in colors that ref-ed (for us) the glorious African Savannah-swirling brown pattern...
