And then...for hiking, hiking boots, for snowboarding, snowboarding boots, and for running/gym---multi-tasking Nikes. Now of course, we have six different kinds of running/workout shoes (AT LEAST), depending on the activity. And we divide our other footwear into time worn categories. As in how long we will be on our feet, how many subway stairs to scale up/down, how much walking we anticipate, assuming the cross-town buses are an abstract concept when we need them!
