Less than a week getaways are key to our mental health -enough to explore (or tune out, unplugged)…without feeling overwhelmed with a to do list upon return.
It’s a great way to take advantage of the super saver fares (Google Flights alert) and lodging deals that crop up PDQ too.
ALWAYS in OUR cary-on roller:
1)

Think about it- a re-invention of umbrella technology since---oh-the last century that actually exists. 2)

3)
Another travel accessory that makes a plain outfit-chic-from the 100 year old American company fav, Echo and its glam oversized silky scares Multi-tasking-it doubles as pareos for beach chic attire. Available in Monet worthy floral prints or striking geometric prints.
4)
An adjustable strap, clear carry-all bag-transparent of course-to breeze through stadium/ museum security (and TSA) but big enough- to fit (cram) in stuff for day to fancier evening strolls. HAMMITT Handbags On The Go collection delivers so many perfect affordable-finished options in this category-we are amazed this California dreamin' company wasn't on our radar since its launch in 2008. BONUS POINTS: made to last-Hammitt guarantees it's merch -and offers repairs just in case.
5)
Essential oils- are everyday musts -not limited to just whipping out for dashes across the earth. In truth we use essentials oils as calming clarifying aromatic mental health "instruments'... multiple tmes of day.
A bonus-essential oils can personalize your personal space anywhere,- place a few drops on a lightbulb-or your wrist. It's so easy to mellow-out one's environment even if crowded public spaces.
Aura Cacia essential oils-offers a plethora or organic, pure scents/dispenser options (drip topped glass bottles in .25oz to larger sizes, handy travel friendly roll-ons, mists, diffusers, bath salts)-that we have literally been using for a decade.
Our go to-a relaxing lavender-is a natural chill pill ( fyi-Aura Cacia's Chill Pill roll-also works) Other choices like breath easy eucalyptus or reviving peppermint are just a few of mix and match dozens of scental offerings.
There really is something to aromatherapy in the therapy part (mental or physical)…smashed with a white noise smartphone app …are the two most used things we bring along- besides a toothbrush/floss.
