Perhaps the most audience excitement was for the exhibitor showroom itself- where the event took place, DEDAR Milano.
Drop dead gorgeous mashed with ne plus ultra might barely describe the assortment of luxe textiles, wallpaper and trimmings- currently on display at this fairly new to NYC showroom.
Fabric is the easiest way to make a space your own-via color or pattern...noted family member Caterina Fabrizio...of this Italy based company---with bolts of beautiful samples-some custom made for clients.
"Like a fashion wardrobe..." Dedar offerings are often inspired by couture, mastering the hand crafted techniques to "create your dreams."
Other Thoughts:
"Every fabric must be a journey..." via 3 D textural qualities, performance attributes (fire retardant finely woven damasks, silks, silk like-or cotton coated linen textiles for restaurants -the latter-reminded us of LV haulers), and statement making patterns...from archival designs, or inspired by geometrics, primitive-modern art, outerspace and nature...creating " magical moments that transform rooms."
Kudos to the moderator Galerie Magazine Editor Jacqueline Terrebone...who probably had every attendee checking out their (un)manicured hands.
