Self-Care= 2020 Words To Live By

Wellness-and self-care might  be an updated re-hash of the 70's 'me -decade'...but an emphasis on the health part -is a good thing.

Some Tips:

A long weekend away-can do wonders...

Maybe more costly than a stay-vacations (depending)-all encompassing-inclusive environments-that provide physical and mental nourishment...do not have to break the bank, either.

Take advantage a the USA dollar strength vs the neighbor to the north's currency...at the wellness haven Le Monastère Des Augustines in Quebec.
Set in a historic and cultural setting- this former cloister has been re-invented as a peaceful oasis for a wellness re-boot-with 33 'authentic' simple (but comfy' ) monastery rooms and 32 contemporary rooms available. Holistic-spa treatments, healthy cuisine, a wide range of daily activities (yoga -meditation, historic tours) included or not-depending on what package one wants.

The Lodge at Woodloch is on many 'BEST OF' lists for its all inclusive spa resort amenities and accommodations.

Set on a private estate in the woodsy Poconos- of north east Pennsylvania-

...this easy to get to haven has over 35 classes and activities per day, a luxury spa/ treatments available (with some separate men's/women's facilities YAY), and special mid-week  and longer stay packages as well as day spa visit options.
Warmer weather-tennis and golf,  winter hikes and year round indoor yoga. pilates, aqua dance and cardio-weight/machine workouts -can check off everyone's get healthier list without sacrificing plush comfy surrounds and eating options to satisfy (not punish).

Heal Thy-Self More Naturally

We have written loads about CBD benefits and what to look for when purchasing a product...but the concept of the effective healing powers of the body's own "endocannabinoid system"(ECS) was new to us.
Targeting many of the ailments that o-t-c supplements and CBD claim to alleviate (stress/anxiety, pain/inflammation/digestive issues etc.) ...non-cannabinoid (no CBD or THC), plant based herbals and botanical phytocannabinoids  like ginger, + curcumin (known anti-inflammatories), echinacea purpurea (popular in anti-cold/virus treatments) and magnolia and passionflower (relaxation)-can trigger positive chemical reactions via our CB1 and CB2 receptors- to naturally heal what ails our bodies.

Purpose Driven: Supplements by Emerald Health Botanicals -along with a healthy diet (Mediterranean), and exercise-mindfulness- target ECS to promote "biological balance in every cell, tissue, organ and gland to support brain, immune, nervous and overall health and wellness."
What we liked particularly-was the one tried-ENDO-Inflame-is a good (gluten free+vegan) choice for workout-exercise long distance endurance types- as it targets physical inflammation with cannabis-free herbal and botanicals -activating CB1 and CB2 receptors (in our bodies) to self heal.
In the mix Curcumin (active ingredient in turmeric) and the bio available Casperome form if  Boswellia (an anti-inflammatory botanical).

Fake It:
Genderless tinted moisturizer can add a healthy glow-no matter what. Indie beauty brand Rejuva Minerals-leaves out the 'toxic' artificial preservative crap-and is gluten free-using non-GMO certified organic botanicals for its easy to use sheer bronzer that adds a temporary shade good for most skin types.
