TÄOS + KORK-EASE Footwear Spring 2013

Outdoor Retailer/NYC

Fame ---in several colors-nice embossed leather footbed, stone medallion thong with great top stitching
Not that we've had the chance...but we are so ready for sandal weather...!

At the snow laden Outdoor Retailer show this past January ---we previewed some pretty and comfy samples... from the new to us TÄOS footwear brand---a women's collection inspired by the natural beauty of Taos, New Mexico.

Carnival-multi-straps for great fit- w/ cork contour footbed-Latex footbed,  lined in suede, user friendly wedge
Quality leathers, crafty embellishments like tiny studs, embroidered elements, multi-tasking earthy tones, durable rubber outsoles...and easy on the feet= very user friendly.
Siren-full grain leather -with multi tone metal studs inspired by tin work from New Mexico...footbeds are cushion-y microfiber too...with nice imprint
Of course, in our denim centric life---these sandals-flats, wedges, thong flip flops...are workable...but dress-up needs are addressed to by this label too--including sweet, block heeled Mary-Jane styles from the Leawood collection...with the removable signature Curves and Pods® footbeds-(or others as equally cushy)... that hold the foot in place (the curve part)---while cushioning where needed (the pod part)...and treated with Aegis microbe shield to control foot odors.

Arcade-antique medallions-upper distressed full grain leather-w/ nice waxed effect
Angel---our fav for dressier occasions-sweet scallop detail on instep-full grain leather

Untold-laser cut ballet flats-Curves and Pods removable footbed...a NYC keep in the hauler bag staple when our spiked heels have to get removed for the subway ride home.....Made in Spain

Miracle- Full Grain leather cut-outs...with Taos Stand-up footbed with arch support and cupping to hold feet in place

KORK-EASE footwear is our go to kicks-AND not just us, btw-we noticed--- for comfortable height.

Seriously--- we wore all during New York Fashion Week when it wasn't a snowing sloshy mess. Inch for inch-really the most comfortable boots with some height-that we own---our fav---- the Marlo boots  ($210) that even work (as in we don't turn an ankle and trip)--- when we ran down/ running down those subway steps for an incoming train.
