DOCKERS® FALL/WINTER 2012 Media Preview:

1411 Broadway, NYC

A midtown showroom transformed--- served as a nice laid back environment for Dockers® F/W 2012 media preview for this label...which has ceased to be the 90's take on casual Friday, handsomely replaced by the latest versions of the slimmed down Alpha lots more.

Attendees were greeted by four male models ---wearing items from this Levi Strauss owned company...including the Dockers' claim to fame...its khakis that are as easy to wear as jeans-including office friendly,  dressier versions-like the Urban Explorer-a modern streamlined version than the Alpha- with a hidden side pocket for mobiles, the Signature,  and SF khakis...made of primo fabrics like brushed herringbones and twills.

Plus casual takes like he fully flannel lined Ultimate Khaki, and the Scout cargo-with the hip tapered fit of motorcycle attire...

There are design differences between the styles-including fabric options--- but all are inherently made to last and fit well.
And yes, Bear Grylls who def fits the "Real Men of Action" category---and happens to be super nice too-we met him out the Outdoor Reatiler tradeshow---remains the brand advert spokes dude.

Acclaimed tailor and designer Ceasar Galindo was taking in and/or shaping garments on the spot.

We had a chance to chat with the Global PR Director, Shaun  Lewis who started right off with "...there's a khaki out there for denim lovers."
Rugged good looks the slim fitting new Scout Cargo

We agree. PLUS: "...the slimmed down khaki, richer Fall colors...options that are casual, slimmer...younger...a more fresh approach...but still offer the classic khaki..." should keep Dockers as the "leader in the category."
Ultimate Khaki - right-fully lined-nice touch, rolled up cuffs for color bump

For Fall/Winter 2012---there are new sweaters, vests, shawl collar cardigans and ribbed turtlenecks---that "bring a top portion to a dressed up or casual "down' piece...that's really important...and shows that khakis are stylish and versatile."

we thought he worked so hard to get our initials on our pants just perfect...
btw-we wear a gal's Levi's Curve ID 26 slim but the men's size 28 slim fitting Urban Explorer khaki...had a not too baggy, low slung boyfriend fit-as the waist to hips area is straight and trim cut down. Kinda cute.
