Designer À Detacher Mona Kowlska, seemingly serene backstage prior to her RTW shows...fashions clothes for the smart gals...who appreciate well made separates.

For this season- a curated palette in black/white neutrals, feminine Japanese cherry blossom prints, and a few bolts of neon pink, bold red and orange...dominated.






























Once again, the Shiseido team, straight from Japan-as in only one make-up artist we spoke with owned a few words of English-and our Japanese vocabulary is about 20 words...accompanied with lots of bowing....

Our interpretation, given the cocoon-kimono shapes of much of the apparel we saw---was of the samurai/sumo wrestlers-with a top knot/looped hair and dramatic eyes with fanned out false lashes and fuchsia pink eye shadow-an interpretation of what is on some of the women portrayed on those glorious antique Japanese woodblock prints...
