The Easton Mountain Sports company has been doing private label tents, poles and snowshoes for years----and now offer their own branded versions using all that accumulated knowledge.

Men and women specific models in snowshoes allow for shoes to articulate...with crampon style binding...that work for different stride lengths, shoe sizes etc...

The simple binding system with a set ankle strap that one can use with a gloved hand...a big plus in freezing temps. Artica™Snowshoes $189

We like how in this women's model ---takes into consideration a gal's a smaller stride and narrower stance--- the shoes aren't banging into each others and doesn't kick up snow.

New is the top of the line, Vo2 Racing ($299)---with a two piece Easton Aerospace alloy frame and high-tech carbon fiber decking that flexes...and maneuvers comfortably, thanks to an asymmetrical ergonomic design...

---and a unique Split Axis™front crampon that allows the tie-like cleats to pivot independently...

... and a patent-pending Virtual Pivot Traction Cam™ that creates a vertical third pivot can go beneath the level of the shoe, improving balance that allows for a more natural motion.

Trekking poles are weather tough durable-in the CTR 80 carbon fiber and the ATR 80-Aluminum with a three tier adjustability, and patent-pending, Rock Lock™ technology ---can tighten down clamps with a satisfying click.

Plus-absorbs vibration via the Vi-Brake 360 degree, all-axis dampening gel packet in the ergonomic grip handle...

And both weigh in at less than a lb and a half. ($49-$139)

Kahtoola's MICROspikes® just got even better with the new heel tab...easier on/off...and a new two year warranty ($59.95). And with 3/8 inch hardened stainless steel spikes that dig into icy terrain, stainless steel flex chain keeps snowballing at bay, an elastomer harness stays supple to -76 degree F ---and a front bar holds the MICROspikes® in place

Plus sizes that can adjust for shoe widths---for large insulated boots and also for running shoes and hiking boots= a superb performance fit.

Also new...upgrades to the RNR 22 lightweight Snowshoes...a dual action heel pad that provides stability for side to side motion via three settings that accomodates different footwear..

WINGSPAN™ user adjustable for ultimate performance fit.

Thermos® and UnderArmour®

A match made in hydration bottles heaven---the iconic Thermos brand paired up with performance wear specialists Under Armour to launch vacuum insulated stainless steel bottles with a locking flip-top lid with one hand push button operation, a flip-up carrying loop, and insulation for cold liquids kept that way up to 12 hours.

BPA free, impact resistant and and dishwasher durable Eastman Tritan™... leak proof with an ergonomic design. WITH---A convenient interchangeable four-lid system including traditional screw top lid and an innovative flip-top sprout lid...Nice color selections too. ($11.99-$29.99)

Yurbuds IronMan™ Series Earphones held court at the Demo Day prior to the tradeshow---

with attendees getting their ears measured...for these bright red, won't fall out, soft medical grade silicone earphones that replace the ones we got with out iPod (slip right on).

We felt ---as a result of the fit, that the sound was better too and since their sweat proof and water reistant... we aren't worried about the bass getting drowned out.

Though we didn't have time...many retailers and exhibitors took the minutes to deeply exhale in a dedicated Yoga room at the convention center. There was JadeYoga™ though ---selling comfy, easy to grip, eco yoga mats made of natural rubber --- in bunches of color.

PVC free and made in the USA too.
