We were pleasantly wowed by glamorous and sexy collection by the Greek born designer Dimitri---

Lucky us, we ran into him outside the Tent on Bebelplatz after his well applauded, RTW show on July 7th ===

“I was thinking about Italian women…like (actress) Monica Belluci…for a Mediterranean, summer look,” he told us.

Showing his second year here at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Dimitri studied and worked in Germany and earned his keep at Hugo Boss, Boss Orange (the biggest selling label in the UK, FYI),  and Vivienne Westwood---which we felt really came through in the quality of the clothing, and the well - done, pacing of the show itself.

First off, hand applied, craft elements ruled a series of office to happy hours frocks,  on lush fabrics form Morocco.

Patchwork patterns skipped the folksy vibe, mercifully--- and had urban edge thanks to sharp silhouettes that made the looks modern, not dated vintage.

We also loved the sheer animal prints and beige ensembles that are elegance personified for ladies who are too busy to lunch, the resort life for those who aren't…or at home entertaining.

The last group was packed with terrific evening looks...especially the knockout that romped the runway as a finale… a heavily encrusted, ornate gold coin bib attached necklace atop a fluttery Grecian gown ---stunning.

HAIR: We went backstage prior to chat with the L’Oreal team in charge of the hair, The brand’s TEC ART and ANTI-FRIZZ calmed straight hair that all the models seemed to be born with anyway, middle parts for all…and a curling iron was used prior to an chic knot at the nape of the neck.
