GEREN LOCKHART's collection for her namesake line, GEREN FORD---for Fall 2010 was dark, glistening, full of jewel tones, and as sultry as the models' pouts.
We have written up the hair/makeup in a prior posting...where we cited the Lauren Bacall/painter Francis Bacon "flesh and blood" and certainly the color palette--- as inspiration for this outing.
There is glam going on in these feminine separates...blousy tops, softly pleated trousers with crystals==
The girly is balanced with tougher elements...like the asymmetrical gold jacket over a fluttery print ...
...a forties military style jacket with a nipped waist ---with a tiered hem skirt. Like the contrast in textures.
And a buttoned up jacket with a military vibe.
Our favorite piece is this top...with corset like, bodice construction and thick, racer back straps. We can see wearing this with everything from ripped up denim, with skinny silk pants (like here) or with Red Carpet drama...like a ball gown black satin skirt.
BONUS: LOVE the boots and shoes...new to the collection.
