New York Fashion Week

It was a haul over to the event space where THE VESSEL: BY LOIS presentation was taking place.

We always like to see what’s new – and REALLY always love when we are rewarded with a fresh point of view (fashion wise) for our hike to “the forbidden zone” (west of 10th Avenue).

We got to this packed space thinking…who wasn’t in the House?

WHAT WE SAW:

A sophisticated dialogue of menswear inspired garments, very proper in a way--- that grown women would wear…not just willowy Gossip Girl types.

And no wonder.

The clearly popular former model turned designer, Lois Samuels, who seemed genuinely happy to greet well-wishers… embodies the MO of her collection.

Suits, particularly handsome shorts with jackets, and jumpers…are the strong takeaways. And made from light weight fabrics that hold up in all sorts of weather. Smart,

There were a few dresses too, including a fun apron dress with grosgrain trimming and a checked short dress.
