The Holiday LookBook at the Metropolitan Pavilion, NYC

Designed for “a guy who is progressive,” we were drawn to the savvy streetwear apparel we saw at AKOO’s exhibit…without a clue as to who made the apparel.

The occasion of this discovery, the Holiday LookBook Fair for media types, had a wide assortment of goods.

AKOO…IMHO…was a standout…

We were attracted right away---- cause of the eye-catching graphics on the sportswear--- and the impressive quality of the fabrics.

Plus: it’s a well priced contemporary line… with sport jackets, denim cut for American guys---ie clean lines but tad roomier than skinny Euro silhouettes, fleece, and woven shirts.

Our take---current fashion trends made well--- with dabs of swagger and’tude.

Shirts are tastefully accented with military epaulettes, not costume like...and the denim fabric is high end.

Tops for us…the logo tees ($28-$58) with vintage flair…

And the fun preppy bomber/varsity type jackets…

In other words:

“AKOO is designed to help young guys express themselves and walk to their own beat,” according to Ralph Reynolds, AKOO’s creative director and partner.

We agree,
