VALENTINES FOR GUYS: GIFTS THEY’LL ACTUALLY WANT
TIMEX® SPORT WATCHES, NAVITAS CHOCOLATES, ART OF SHAVING

We would cringe big time if we got one of those teddy bears.
So why not give the gifts that are affordable and desirable too?
Timex® watches are classics …but the new grouping of watches under the sports umbrella are downright high techy. At the Outdoor Retailer Market, we got a tutorial on the TIMEX®Ironman Race Trainer™ watches for men (and women) that comes infour styles pumped up with heart monitors.
Frankly we were dazzled…as the Ironman Race Trainer series of digital heart rate monitors boasts two-way wireless data transfer via the Timex Data Xchanger USB device. And we quote from the press release so we get it right…
“ A sleek polyurethane digital transmission chest sensor allows a user’s body to sync with the HRM watch to yield precise fitness data over extended training periods. The Timex Ironman* Race Trainer™ digital heart rate monitor and the Timex Data Xchanger USB device, which utilize ANT+Sport™ wireless technology, work as a system to provide online training logs powered by TrainingPeaks™ software.
The collection possesses an array of essential fitness functions, including a 10-workout
memory and a five-segment variable-intensity interval timer. The Timex Data Xchanger
USB device transmits zone and interval setup information among other workout and
watch parameters.” (Prices Range from $100-$220)
We also got a preview of the nifty Timex® Expedition WS4 watch that’s loaded with an altimeter, barometer, thermometer, compass, chronograph, timer clock and other critical measurements…on a wide screen dashboard that’s easy to read.
Particularly useful for us…is the activity review mode that graphs our climbs…so cool and PROOF that we scaled the heights.
TIMEX TIMEX EXPEDITION
“Power foods for the modern lifestyle” is this mantra of this organics food company that only dishes out rich nutrient packed goodies. We tried some of the Cacao Power® chocolate nibs, from Peru…that we could have been added to our smoothies…but we devoured straight out of the bag (4 oz/$6.99).
Why we think any guys will want these treats over the cloying sweet chocolate offerings that seem to spring up like mushrooms for Valentines Day… is because the authentic taste, courtesy of whole beans peeled and partially ground…is delicious. We detected hints of vanilla, honey flowers and a very subtle spicy pepper essence. Yum.
All Cacao products (also in a powder, butter, paste and butter)---are stocked with benefits like iron, magnesium, fiber and anti-oxidants too. As if we needed a healthy excuse.
