MOUNTREK: TEXTURED AND METALLIC WARM WEATHER BOOTS Fall 2009

POSITIVELY CHIC AND PRACTICAL KICKERS FOR COLD CLIMES!

Outdoor Retailer Market, Salt lake City Palace, UTAH

Hats off to the clever person(s) who sourced the très haute quilted metallic fabrics that made their debut on the low, mid and high boots…at Mountrek.

Yeah, the boots have a few techy bells and whistles too…after all, this is a company known for its performance driven outdoor footwear for hikers and water rippers.

So, yes, the boots have genius bottom curves that encourage a natural motion gait.

And a gridded sole that disperses snow and mud…. and grips the ice assuring a non-slip toe to heel stride.

And they’re 100% waterproof…and insulated, often with Primaloft. Cozy.

YEAH, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

We were rockin’ the uppers though. We also covet the multi-textured pebble croco boot collared with a boiled wool... (textile imported from Italy…where else?).

Prices are easy too…typically $59-$89.

Look for Mountrek at Paragons (NYC), Cabela’s, Belks, Pass Pro Shops and online.

FACTOID: Mountrek is owned by JMLAR-a confab of terrific shoe/accessories companies like The Frye Company, Coach and Calvin Klein Footwear and RJ Colt.
